When you first start up
GenderLabs™ v1.3 you are presented with
the Calendar screen, which presents you with a quick overview of your
current state of fertility and at the same time, scheduled events and
tasks are also visually presented as below: -

The Calendar displays your fertility information
using text, background color and icons in the first 2 rows of the
calendar box.

The uppermost row is called ‘Fertility Bar’
and it typically displays the date and details of the fertility cycle.
For example ‘24 A-C1-D10’
means it is the 24th day of the month and the letter
‘A’ represents ‘Actual’ ie. fertility status of the day is
calculated using the actual or recorded symptoms (data) and you will
also find letter ‘F’ which represent ‘Forecast’ being used to
indicate fertility status that is estimated without the support of
observed symptoms such as when no symptoms is recorded or a future
date. While C1 stands for
Cycle No. 1 and D10 stands for Cycle Day No. 10, the background color
indicate the ongoing fertility in term of Phase 1, 2 or 3. The default
color assigned to Phase 1 (pre-ovulation) and 3 (post-ovulation) (both
phases are infertile) are light grey, Phase 2 (fertile phase) is being
colored as orangey brown. For those practicing gender preselection,
pinks represents ideal timing for conceiving Girl and pastel blue for
Boy. The day with bright red backgrounds is of particular significance
as it represents the ovulation day estimated by the system. Although not exactly advisable but should you
wish to do so perhaps during a pregnancy, you can always make use the
Fertility Bar (with distinctive background color) to indicate other
event such as vacation etc. instead of fertility details.
The second row at the top (right after the
Fertility Bar) is reserved for icons that represent the various
fertility symptoms such as Menstruations etc.
The center portion of the calendar is for
user to take brief notes with practical text editing tools including
‘Bullets’, ‘Strikethrough’ and ‘Font Color’ etc. so that
the notes can be displayed in a ‘precise and concise’ manner.
Lastly, the bottom row has been assigned to
display icons representing Reminders, Task and Notes (do not confuse
this notes with the discussed earlier which you can write in calendar
itself). This particular notes is the one with built-in graphic
capability where you can take not only notes with text but you can
also do it graphically with drawing tools and picture insertion.
Background colors and icons are assigned once
your fertility symptoms have been recorded. Similarly, icons for
Reminders, Tasks and Notes will also be displayed once there is any
created.
